"JAMES HAROLD POTTER! GET YOUR RUDDY ARSE DOWN HERE!" Screamed the fiery red head from the bottom of the stairs.
Meanwhile, upstairs James Potter winced and layed back down on his bed, desperately trying to block out the screeching from his girlfriend.
"What did you do this time Prongs?" Asked Sirius Black from his lounging position on his bed.
"I honestly don't know." He paused, looking thoughtful yet scared "do you think I should go down there?"
"Are you bloody insane. She'd rip you to shreds."
James harrumphed, his manhood insulted.
At that moment Remus walked in the room looking wary.
"Can someone explain to me why Lily Evans is currently standing at the bottom of the stairs plotting death threats under neath her breath?"
"Sorry mate, Prongsie here has no idea."
"Well I have a message for you James" Said an exasperated Remus, his mouth twitching at the corners. James groaned. He didn't even want to here this.
"She told me that if you weren't down there within the next hour that she'll stab you, then pull your hair out and then finally, and I quote "break your broom into teeny tiny pieces that are so small a goblin wouldn't be able to put them back together."" Remus grinned fully now "quite a catch you got there"
Sirius and Remus laughed but James just plunged his hands into his hair and fell back onto his bed. "I'm dead" He muttered.
It had been two hours since Remus had delivered Lily's original message and James still hadn't left the dormitory. He had the marauders map in his lap, staring at the dot which was currently at the bottom of the dorm stairs, willing it to move away. He was hungry and this is not how he wanted to spend his Saturday.
He had sent Remus and Sirius down many times to ask Lily what was wrong but she hadn't budged, just telling them that James should know.
James' stomach rumbled. Merlin he was hungry! If only he could get past Lily without her seeing him...
His invisibility cloak!
Of course, why hadn't he thought of that two hours ago!
He rummaged through his trunk, searching for the silvery fabric. His fingers grasped the material and he pulled it out in triumph.
He threw the cloak over him and moved towards the door. He cast a silencing charm onto the door and hesitantly slipped through it. He was on the dormitory stairs and could see Lily's bright hair. The door shut behind him with a loud bang. He winced, damn charm hadn't worked properly.
Lily's head snapped up towards the door, but she saw nothing. Already she had her suspicions and they were confirmed when she saw the faintest ripple of fabric. The little toerag. Her eyes narrowed minutely.
James was triumphant that he hadn't been spotted by Lily. How could he have been? He was invisible! He moved forward, he was only a meter away from Lily now, and he tried to edge around her. Tried being the operative word.
Goosebumps raised on Lily's arms as they always did when James was near her. She stuck her leg out and felt something trip over it.
James went tumbling forward, the cloak falling off of him in the process. James groaned, laying on his back whilst his friends snickered from the sofa's. He opened his eyes, everything was fuzzy, his glasses had obviously fallen off. He groped the space around him, trying desperately to find his glasses.
Although his vision was blurred he could still make out Lily's face when she leant over him.
"Trying to escape were we Mr. Potter? Don't worry, you'll learn not to do that in the future"
James groaned, Lily smirked.
So, was it good?
I haven't written any fanfiction in a long time, but I figured that I should get back into it. Especially because it's nearly summer which means that I'll have more time to write.
Critisism is ALWAYS welcome, I honestly want tips because I honestly don't think my writing is that good.
Please review, it makes me so happy.
