I want to be a beta-reader. I need at least five stories or 6,000 words. I can't write well so here's the fifth of five stories.

Disclaimer: I don't own anything.

Summary: Bella has a dream about Edward and herself when she's still living in Phoenix. Continuation of my fourth story.

Side note: In Twilight Bella said Phil and Renee got married in September; I'm interpreting that as early September, all stories happen towards the end of September.

Clarifying note: The half day was Wednesday.

BPOV

My head hit the ground hard before I blacked out.

When I woke up I could hear beeping and a constant whooshing sound. I knew from experience these noises meant I was in the hospital hooked up to machines, again. I started taking inventory of my body to try and figure out what I was in for this time. I could feel a cast around my left ankle, and one on my right wrist.

As my mind focused more I could feel someone's hand rubbing back and forth on my arm, and there were people talking in hushed voices. I worked to open my eyes. When I finally found them I saw Mom sitting in a chair next to my bed. Phil was standing behind her talking to the doctor at the foot of my bed.

The doctor noticed I was awake and came over to check my vitals. My mom started crying and hugging me. Phil even looked relieved. I was so confused, what had I done that made everyone so worried.

The doctor left after his check and told me if I needed more pain meds to call the nurse. The pain meds they had given me had definitely not worn off yet; I was still a little woozy.

I tried to ask Mom what happened but all that came out was a hoarse whisper. She handed me some water and after I'd taken a sip I tried again.

"What happened, Mom? Why do you guys look so worried?"

She looked surprised and turned to look at Phil. They had a little non-verbal discussion before she turned back to me.

"Bella, honey, what's the last thing you remember?" She started rubbing my arm again.

"I remember going to bed on Sunday night."

She and Phil shared another wordless glance and I was starting to get frustrated.

She turned back to me, "Bella it's Friday. You fell down the stairs at the ball field on Wednesday."

I couldn't believe what I was hearing. It was Friday! I had lost small bits of time before through various accidents, but this time I had lost four days of my life, well maybe even more depending on what time it was.

I asked her what I had hurt when I fell. I was now the proud owner of a sprained ankle and a broken wrist. I would be released from the hospital tomorrow morning now that I had woken up. They wanted to keep me overnight for observation since I had managed to get a moderate concussion when I landed.

I was supposed to be all healed up in time for fall break, which is nice I guess.

I didn't feel particularly talkative at the moment so Mom and Phil gave me my peace by going down to the cafeteria for lunch. I sat in my bed and tried to remember the missing pieces I had lost. I couldn't come up with anything but a forest which had obviously been thought by my brain to fill the spaces.

I had always felt like I wasn't on the same page as everyone else, now I felt a few more pages away.

It's finally finished.

I ended it the best I could because I wanted it to be mostly compatible with Twilight.
