Secret Admirer

Spring always announced the end of winter and the oncoming of summer. Everything always felt new and fresh, and everything would start to come back to life again. It was also the time when everyone felt this little tiny burst of hope. Like, when they finally see the sun again after a couple of months of nothing but chilly, ice cold weather. This hope always blossomed new crushes and dreams.

Takashi Ayanokoji was definitely no exception to these crushes either. Girls were already leaving notes on his desk and blushing and giggling every time they talked to him. Some girls had even been brave enough to approach him personally with a love note, though he never replied to them.

Most of the girls just took it as a no, but others would hang onto a tiny piece of hope that maybe he was thinking about it. Though, Takashi had another girl on his mind.

"Ten-chan, wait up!"

Takashi stopped and glanced over his shoulder to see Koboshi slightly jogging to catch up with him. When she finally came up next to him she sighed, "Good Morning,"

"Moring, aren't you usually at the gates by now?" he knew she always waited at the gates for Kotarou to show up or walk with him. She also didn't like to show up as late as he did, sometimes just before the bell rang.

"I felt like taking my time today."

Oh, that makes perfect since, Takashi thought sarcastically, something seemed strange about her. She didn't seem as ambitious as she usually was.

"Are you feeling alright, Uematsu?" he said teasingly with smirk on his face.

"Of course I am," she said pouting, "Geez, I can't be a little late every once in awhile."

"Not when it comes to Kotarou," Takashi said rolling his eyes, though he recognized Koboshi didn't get flustered when he said that. Her eyes averted to the ground as she suddenly seemed upset. Had something happened between her and Kotarou that he didn't know about?

It was silent for awhile, until Koboshi finally sighed, "Actually," she lowered her voice to nearly a whisper, "….actually….it's nothing."

They then walked in silence until they reached the gates, where Misha was waiting with Kotarou , with a huge grin, and of course Kotarou with sullen and embarrassed face.

"Good Morning, su!" Misha chirped raising one hand into the air to wave.

"Hey there, cutie."Takashi said raising hand and waved back smiling.

"Good Morning Ten-chan, Good Morning Koboshi-chan." Kotarou said dully.

Koboshi shyly smiled, "Morning, Kotarou-san."

"Mornin' Koboshi-chan, su!" Misha said, draping over Kotarou.

Instead of shouting and trying to pry her off, Koboshi sighed and smiled back at Misha, "Morning Misha-san."

Takashi could already see something was seriously wrong. He glanced over to Kotarou who seemed to notice too, as he stared at Koboshi with concerned eyes. Misha didn't seem to notice otherwise, she just smiled right back. Koboshi seemed oddly calm and undisturbed by Misha's closeness to Kotarou. Maybe she had gotten used to it…?

"Let's get to class, before the bell rings," Koboshi said, turning on her heels and started to walk away quickly.

Takashi ran after her, and when he caught up with her, he ran in front of her, "What's wrong? Are you feeling ok?," he said as he put a hand on her forehead.

Her face turned red as she jerked away as soon as he touched her head, "Its n-nothing." she quickly went around him and headed for the middle school, nearly tripping over herself as she jogged away.

What was that all about?,Takashi thought as he watched her run off.

Takashi just didn't know that spring had gained him yet another admirer
