Garry's alive?!
It had been years since the Guertana Art Exhibit had been in the gallary and Ib wondered why it made her sad to come see it but, not the reason why. As she walked through the halls adorned with paintings and odd sculptures she found herself looking at one in particular. It was of the deep, dark ocean. Suddenly the lights began to flicker a bit, then went out. After a moment or two they came back on and Ib found herself standing by a young man she didn't recognize or remember seeing arounf the museum. He was about her age maybe, 17 or 18, with short grayish hair, with almost a purple tint to it. His eyes were a striking blue. Ib glanced at him, then noticed that they were the only two remaining in that part of the exhibit. He grinned sightly, noticing her glance. She looked away, blushing a bit in embarrassment at beeing caught staring.
"You know this exhibit was here a while back." He started. Ib was confused, but listened anyways. "And I met a little girl. She had alot of courage considering what crazy stuff we went through together. You kinda remind me of her." He said with a small smile.
Ib looked at him curious, "Oh really? What was her name?" She asked, trying to be polite. He smiled as if he knew she would ask that.
"It was Ib. She was a kid but a good one at that."
Ib looked at him shocked, "That's my name too. You were here when the exhibit was here last time?" He nodded and took out a handkerchief, showing it to her. There was a little dried blood on it, but she recognized it immediatly, "My old handkerchief! I lost it last time the exhibit was here..."
The boy smiled, "You sure Ib? It hasn't been that long since we last talked has it? Don't you remember me?"
Ib looked at him for moment and somewhere inside her head, it clicked. She had met him before, in her halucinations as the therapist had told her, but now she remembered it all so vivdly, and this man, he was her friend. He had been left behind in the museum.
"Garry? Oh my God Garry!" She could hardly believe her eyes, and she hugged him close. He gladly hugged back.
"Oh my God Garry...I thought she killed you!"
Garry smiled holding her close, "Yeah I know. I'm sorry Ib...I'm sorry I had to leave you. I'm here now if you'd have me."
She couldn't help it as tears rolled down her cheeks, and Garry brushed them away. "I thought I'd never see you again...Mary acted like it never happened...Garry...how did you survive? How did you get back?"
Garry smiled gently, "Oh Ib I didn't get back alone...I found a way to get back by finding you." She didn't care if it didn't make sense, whetere they were trapped in that other world or in their own, as long as she had Garry everything was alright. That's when she noticed the rose, a blue one embossed on his jacket.
"When did you get this? Is it the rose from the other place?" Ib asked, curious about the design.
Garry nodded, "So I never forget that place...or meeting you Ib."
With that Ib and Garry left the museum and lived out the rest of their days together...in the world that Mary had once called home.
THE END.
OR IS IT?
