It should have deleted him, erased his existence from the face of the cyberworld. He would have been forced to see his operator's face as he vanished from the world.
But he didn't.
Just as the blast came crashing into him, a ring of gold tore through the air, colliding with the energy and knocking it off course.
The ring was quick, almost impossible to see, even by netnavi standards. He, himself, barely noticed it until before it ramming into its target.
Quickly, Megaman shifted his attention towards the origin of the ring, hoping to spot the Netnavi that just saved his life. Unfortunately, whoever it was already fled the scene.
"Megaman, are you alright!" the voice of his operator cried out, Lan's worried expression appearing on the screen.
"Yep." Megaman reassured him.
Lan sighed in relief, "Here you go…" he trailed, blinking in disbelief.
Megaman looked at him confused, "What is it Lan?"
The second he said that, the navi realized all the damage he sustained during battle…was gone. His form was barely holding itself together, data falling apart at the seams. By any means, he shouldn't still be around.
The battle had been a brutal one, a fight everyone figured someone would perish. Yet there was not a single deletion message. It was an impossible scenario, but not unwelcomed.
Less where, someone was laughing.
Megaman and his Operator's face were so adorably hilarious! It was so funny she couldn't help but laugh. Her companion within the shadows sighed at her behavior.
"Do tell me why you bother protecting them, Lady Mana." He said, slightly skeptic. Mana was a netnavi with the form of a young woman with long brown hair tied into a loose ponytail by a strange hair tie with a gem embedded in it with two circles jutting out from it. (1)
She pouted angrily, "Why do I need a reason? These two happen to be very amusing. If I let them die now, I would lose all my entertainment. Duh!" Her tone indicated that her reasons should have been obvious and he was an idiot for not knowing.
The male navi sighed, "Should've known."
Mana smiled cheekily at him until he exited the room. With the male gone, her smile disappeared, her crystal eyes watching the two children wearily.
Sighing, she said, "While amusing in their antics, should they die now, the two would be unable to accomplish the great things that will come their way."
Mana swept up a small digital screen, placing her leg onto of the other and smirking evilly at the monitor, "Until then keep finding trouble boys!"
Her laughter echoed throughout the internet, many netnavis and their operators staring nervously at the 'sky.'
Mana's design is very complicated. Many small details and some rather hard pieces of clothing to describe, so I'm gonna post a picture of her later. She's among one of the Ocs I found today that I made on a whim with no actual purpose, so I decided to use her for something. For what is something I will know~
