Emberkit mewed and squealed. "Go play with the other nursery kits, Emberkit." Raindapple, her mother nudged her towards Breezewing's kits. "But, they don't like me."
Emberkit whined. "You probably don't have long to live, so enjoy playing with them while you can!" Raindapple mewed. Hollykit back away. Webkit followed after her. "We don't wanna play with
Emberkit!" Hollykit mewed. "She is creepy!" Webkit agreed. "She has almost two faces and three eyes!" Hollykit shrieked. "That isn't nice!" Breezewing mewed. "We don't care how Emberkit feels!"
Hollykit growled. "Her feelings will always be extra hurt anyway because when someone does hurt them, she has two brains to feels the sorrow!" she teased. "That is so funny, Hollykit!" Webkit
laughed. Emberkit looked down at the ground in sorrow. "I would not have two faces if I could!" she almost yelled at them. She stopped herself because what she said wouldn't even matter to them.
She tried to avoid talking to the other cats and showing her face to other cats. Even Raindapple flinched at her two faces and three eyes when she looked at her. "It must be something to do with
my father." she thought. "He is the reason I am like this, because Raindapple looks like a normal cat." She never wanted to be a warrior. She spent most of her time in the medicine den, studying
herbs with Doveheart. Even Doveheart seemed to flinch at her. Emberkit sometimes wondered if her conjoined twin liked her. Of course her conjoined twin couldn't talk but, Emberkit liked to
tell her stories of how the prey pile was full almost everyday and the things that the elders told her. Sometimes at night Emberkit would hold her twin's paws and lick her goodnight.
Hollykit snapped her out of her thoughts. "Pay attention to what we are saying to you!" she growled. "She's right!" snarled Webkit. "Are you scared to go into the forest?" Hollykit asked.
"No." Emberkit stammered. "Then go!" dared Hollykit. "Ok." Emberkit mewed. She ran into the forest crying. She knew Hollykit and Webkit were just trying to kill her. Tears streamed down her
cheeks as she ran. Tiny puddles of her tears splattered the ground. She tripped on her paws and fell into a dark cave underground. "I can get back out, right?" she asked herself. It started to
rain. The entrance filled with mud. She curled up crying. "I'll never get out!" she cried. "I will die down here." she whispered. Chapter 2: Rescued: When she woke up, Emberkit found herself
lying in a puddle of her own tears. She smelled another cat's scent. "Has my Clan come to rescue me?" she thought. But, it didn't smell like a LeafClan cat at all. It was a kit.
A light brown, skinny, kit. "I am Molekit." he mewed. Emberkit saw that he had been crying too. "I am Emberkit." she meowed. She was expecting Molekit to flinch at her. But, all he did
was stare in amazment at her like she was the only peice of prey in the forest. "It doesn't bother you?" Emberkit asked. "Nope." Molekit mewed. "Your too beautiful for me to think that." he
mumbled. "What was that?" Emberkit asked him. "Nothing." he stammered. "Who is the cat inside of you?" Molekit asked. "That is Firekit." Emberkit answered. "Why would you give a dead kit a name?"
Molekit asked. "It is nice." Emberkit answered. "Now we get out of here!" "Your right." Molekit agreed. "Hello?" a cat's voice came from outside the cave. The cat dug the dried mud up.
"Hello, little kits!" she mewed. "Molekit, the Clan was looking for you!" "Sorry Cloudstream!" Molekit stammered. "I am Emberkit!" Emberkit mewed. "I will take you back to LeafClan."
Cloudstream assured her. "Bye, Emberkit." Molekit whispered in her ear. They nuzzled. "Bye." Emberkit whispered back.
