"Ah just don't get what ya see in him is all, Jubie! Ah mean, he's ugly! He's got gray skin, fer cryin' out loud!"

Jubilee glared at Paige. "I thought you country girls knew looks don't matter."

"Gray," Paige repeated, "skin."

"Okay," Jubilee relented reluctantly, "so he's not the cutest guy ever! But he's sweet, loyal, charming, funny, an' cute in his own way! He loves me, an' I love him! Besides," she playfully shoved her, "it's not like your boyfriend would win any beauty contests either! He's missing half his face!"

"True," Paige said, her blue eyes glistening, "but there's no one like Jono!" She sighed dreamily. "He's so brave, sweet, an' romantic! An' he sings an' plays the guitar too!"

"Yeah, I know." Jubilee gave her another playful shove. "Everything ya couldn't get back on the farm!"

"Hey!" Paige slapped at her.

Gentle laughter twinkled in their minds, and the girls pulled apart as their boyfriends set their food trays in front of them. "Fighting over us, chicas?" Angelo asked, exchanging a wink with Jono.

"You wish!" Jubes exclaimed.

"I have no need to wish, chica," Angelo told her, taking her slapping hand in his. "I've got my wish right here."

Jubilee blushed and quieted as Paige observed, "Ya got an extra burger, Jono."

*You can eat it, sunshine,* he answered, stroking her hair. *Don't tell me you can't, and don't worry about th' extra pounds. You're perfect just th' way ya are.*

Paige blushed, and the girls shared a knowing look. It was official: They had the best boyfriends ever!
