His sweet love had not been touched in so long that she treasured even the most ordinary of caresses, and thus it was that Joseph found himself often brushing her hair. She adored the way he held her in his strong yet gentle arms and brushed her long hair carefully a thousand strokes a night, and though Joseph lived to please Rogue, he enjoyed even more laying the brush to the side of their bed and carefully separating her tangles with his loving fingers.
He thrilled at the feel of her silk surrounding him and couldn't imagine why any one would ever call his wondrous beauty Skunk Hair as she'd once confessed to him with teary eyes. Her hair, like the rest of her, was a thing of beauty, and yet it had often pained her to look so different from the rest of the world. Joseph hadn't pointed out to her that at least she was not covered with fur like their friends Kurt and Hank but had simply taken her in his arms, assured her how beautiful she was, and lovingly kissed and gently wiped away her tears. How any one could be so cruel to his love was beyond him, and he could not even begin to fathom how any one could despise his lady love's beautiful hair so greatly as she was the most wonderful treasure he'd ever witnessed.
Rogue turned in his arms and tilted her head back. As always, Joseph understood his lady love's desire without her having to speak a word. He cupped his hand around her colorful, silken hair and pressed his lips to hers. He loved holding and kissing this wonderful woman! He loved just getting to brush her long and luxurious hair. He loved doing anything with his beloved, enchanting treasure of his heart and everything about her, but most of all, he loved the woman herself! Never one to let a moment slip by when he could tell her how he felt, Joseph paused in kissing Rogue just long enough to whisper, "I love you!", and then kissed her again.
The End
