Hi, people of Fanfiction it's me, Amyanddan posting a new story. I'm not sure if I like how this turned out but I'm going to post it anyway. The rules for this type of story are: 1. must involve the song 2. must be written in the time span of the song 3. you must put your ipod on shuffle.

I think that's all the rules anyway. I will try to update once a week or as often as I can. No flames, only nice reviews and constructive critisum please!

Alek knew this war was a dangerous thing, after all he was a British airship that was being ambushed, so he couldn't help but to think what would happen if he died that young.

Deryn would have all my things, he thought. He wondered if Deryn would commit suicide if he died, or would just go on living like normal, well as normal as girl pretending to be a guy.

Just when he started getting upset, Deryn walked in and said," They surrendered! The war is over," She shouted with joy.

I had been worrying for the worst; and that didn't turn out to happen. I put the thought of dying young in my head, and decided never to think about it again.

Deryn was falling down the sky, at an electrifying pace. It was a thrill, and Deryn didn't fear the fall because she knew that Alek would catch her. She trusted Alek with all of her heart.

Coming closer to the land, eventually she landed on Alek and he fell over with a loud thud. When he attempted to get up, he fell over again.

"Remind me to never agree to this again," Alek mumbled as he managed to stand up again.

"At least your head didn't fall off," Deryn said in a rather cheerful mood.

Deryn knew that Alek was a prince, but that would never change anything. She'd always be in misery without Alek her savior, her prince, her barking crush. I had heard him mention something about me and misery, I still wonder if he feels the same.

I usually would see him in my dreams, and I would wake up hoping to see Alek next to me. Of course, that would never happen. A Darwinist with a Clanker prince, impossible, or at least what it seemed to be. Even if he didn't know that, I'd always be in Misery without him.

Alek sat down on the uncomfortable bed, now knowing Deryn's secret. He loved her, he really did, but he never knew when she was lying or when she was telling the truth. The way she lied could be, compared to a clanker machine, or a beastie.

Now I am a keeper of a lie, all we know are lies and half-truths. I have never actually been truthful, but now's a good time to start right.

But it doesn't matter because I love the way she lies.

Deryn sat in her room, crying. She had caught the secret love of her life, Alek, kissing another girl. She knew she was just a commoner, but why would he do that to her? Why?

She stifled her tears and quietly mumbled forget you when Bovril snuck into her room and went onto her shoulder. Bovril, seeing her; mumbled forget you in attempt to cheer her up. After many tears, her heart became whole again and Alek had been forgotten.
