To tell the truth, he didn't really like the color yellow. It was bright, and annoying. A lot like her.
She wore a thin yellow shirt, a yellow flower tucked in the mess of her soft yellow hair.
Well he liked that, sure. She was always glowing in the yellow light, and it was comforting. To have something so cheerful around. She had a high voice, and big eyes that shown.
She looked just like him. With all that stupid yellow.
But yellow wasn't always a problem. Banana's were yellow, and they were yummy. And her bed had a yellow cover, with the smell of a girl tangled all in them. The yellow teddy bear she had given him for his 9th birthday, and the yellow ribbon that was wrapped casually around his ankle.
Yellow wasn't so bad. He didn't hate it, no.
He had just grown sick of it, and so he told her that morning, chewing on his banana pancakes.
"Rin."
She gave a wiggle of her head.
"There's too much yellow in the house."
She stopped whatever she was doing and turned around.
"Yellow's a Kagmine color."
He didn't say anything. There wasn't really an argument there.
"I guess."
"But maybe we could change some things."
He stopped his eating and gave smile.
"Yellow looks nice with white, or black, we could change the paint in.."
He cut her off.
"Let's not get rid of it all."
"But.."
Her yellow eyebrows knotted in confusion.
"I'm still okay with yellow, just not as much of it."
She shrugged. She didn't really seem to care.
"Yellow's your color anyway."
At this she looked over her shoulder, and for a second all the yellow she had illuminated her, and he kind of wanted to kiss her. But she did it instead, and grinned.
"Good. Because I love yellow."
"And I love you."
The End.
