12 year-old Percy was reading his Greek version of his 'God of War' novel in his bedroom. He was pondering about his step-father and how angry he was all the time. This reminded him about Enyo the goddess of destruction and Lyssa the goddess of blind rage and frenzy. He wondered why they existed and if Gabe was the son of one of them.

"Mum? I was just wondering why is Gabe always angry?" Percy asked.

"Well... you see, children of Enyo and Lyssa always had trouble controlling their anger. It's not his fault that it is his nature. It's like saying it's your fault for always blowing up water fountains. Is that fair?" Sally replied.

"Well... Guess not. But why do they act this way?"

"That's for the Gods themselves to answer,"she said as she left to make Gabe his nine-layer bean dip.

Percy was mad. Why did Enyo and Lyssa exist? Why give birth to such a vile man that eventually was his step-father. Why Zeus why?

Enyo and Lyssa over heard the whole conversation between Percy and Sally. They had been sent by Poseidon to check up on his favourite son. Over time Percy has really formed a relationship with them. They were located near the apartment door, listening in through the sound proof walls with their superhuman hearing. Enyo and Lyssa was hurt that this conversation had taken place. They had been hated on and lonely ever since the dawn of time. They never got a temple, not even an offering. All because of that one day.

KNOCK KNOCK.

"Come in,"said Percy. "Oh it's you guys,"

Lyssa started, "Percy, I'm sorry about your dad. I know you now despise us but can we please explain it this to you?"

"This better be good," Percy mumbled.

Enyo started, "Well, Lyssa and I are sisters and when we were young we used to argue and fight all the time. This one time though we had a major argument. It was who should be the patron goddess of Sparta. Sparta was one of the most iconic cities in Greece and if you were a patron of that city you would probably be the most popular god/goddess. Well, we were so angry I caused an earthquake and Lyssa caused 100,000 rabid rats to eat up all of Sparta's food supply. After that no-one wanted us to be their patron goddess and we have been lonely ever since. This is why our children are so angry. They are lonely; just like us-"

"Gabe is just a bad man." Lyssa cut in.

There was a long silence. It became clear to Percy that they were right. He was wrong.

"I'll be your life-long friend. Your friend until I die." Percy pledged.

"You will?" They both said.

"Yes I will.'"

Years later Percy died in a car crash in had truly been a loyal night, they cried until their immortal eyes dried up. That night World War III started and the biggest rat infestation ran the world. This was their first and only friend ever since.
