hi, this is my first cats fanfic so sorry if I get anything wrong.
Chapter one
Black paws skimmed through the murky water of the quiet river that reflected the moons light. the water rippled as the queen placed her paws forward, the jellicle moon shone brightly as she made her way towards the junkyard she'd heard so much about.
Her ear was slightly torn, her dog tooth collar was ribbed slightly, she limped slightly due to the gashes on her hind leg. tears trailed her whiskers. The thought of her lost tribe brought heartbreak and misery.
flashback
the tribe was in chaos as Macavity's cats ran around, killing kits and injuring those who tried to protect them. Redtail scampered away, her kit following soon after. Hid from the cats, Redtail muttered a prayer to the jellicles before singing to Dappledwing;
My child,
I have nothing I can give
But this chance that you might live,
I pray we'll meet again...
If he will... deliver us!
the last became a panic as Macavity struck Redtail down and the kit scampered away.
the queen shook away the memory, scowling as she entered the yard. the cats halted and stared at her, some hissed whilst others recognized her bearing with the collar and whispered. Ears flattened against her head she saw a silver tabby approach her.
"Who are you and why are you here?"he inquired, tilting his head as he gazed at her sympathetically.
"I am Dappledwing and I wish to join the jellicles."she replied, her ear torn and sore.
the tabby nodded and led her away towards a tire where an old cat sat, with many cats around him. As she approached they all looked up and seemed startled at her.
"She wishes to join us."
...
A while after a long questioning, the old cat called out;
"Welcome Dappledwing to the jellicles!"
