A/N: A little drabble for Momo's birthday, the third of next month. Luppi's is on the fifth too, so I'll have to find something to do for him. It may or may not involve an OC on that one. Anyway, on with the story.

Disclaimer: I don't own Bleach, nor do I make any sort of profit from this.

Momo was having a very bad day.

It wasn't a normal day. Momo was pressed for time to do anything with the amount of work that was being thrown at her, and she hadn't eaten lunch and now it was coming onto six PM. She was exhausted, hungry, and felt like crying. With being so swamped, she'd likely be here until midnight or so, and that was with no breaks whatsoever. The door opened, and in slipped a small, white haired figure.

"Shiro!" Momo suddenly felt a much stronger urge to cry, was he here to help her?

"I heard you were swamped." Toshiro came over to her desk and began to sort through papers. He wouldn't look at her, and he was blushing slightly. "Take a break, I'll handle some of this." Reaching in his pocket, he pulled out a peach, handing it to her. "Eat this. I'll work on your paperwork for you."

"Thank you!" Momo smiled brightly at him, he sure was being nice today. Sure, he was never mean to her, but some days he was a little colder than usual, no pun intended. Slowly, she disappeared into the kitchen to eat the peach and let Toshiro handle what he wanted to handle.

Toshiro was likely just as frustrated as her; he'd been working all day, doing the work his lieutenant wouldn't, and then dealing with new recruits the rest of the time. It had been murder on him, but he wasn't about to take Momo down with him either. He'd help his best friend all he could, his one true l-

Shaking off that train of thought, he quickly set to work sorting the paperwork again. Lots of it didn't need to be done for two months or so, something Momo likely hadn't noticed. By the time she returned, he had most of it done, an efficiency created only by practice.

"Thank you so much!" Momo vaulted herself at him, and Toshiro could see the tears budding in the corners of her eyes.

"Momo?" Toshiro asked, his tone a little softer than usual. He knew he was blushing, and he couldn't stop it either. He knew what he wanted to do, and for once he would do it.

"Yes?" Momo tried to blink the tears away, embarrassed, and smile at him. "What is it?" Within seconds, Toshiro had captured her lips with his, and though Momo was fire truck red, she was kissing back.

Wait, why was she kissing back? She had been reserving her first kiss for Aizen, of all people, and though he wouldn't be giving her that kiss now or ever... this felt right. This felt really right.

Both blushing and a little short of breath when they broke apart, Momo was the first one to meet Toshiro's eyes. Toshiro gave her a small smile, and then left her desk. "The paperwork that's still there doesn't need to be done for two months." Toshiro stated, the blush never fading.

"Shiro..." Momo murmured, looking down slightly. Had she done something wrong?

Toshiro looked embarrassed, but immediately returned to her side, pulling her down and kissing her again.

Suddenly, Momo was having a very good day.

A/N: I had no clue where I was going with this, to be honest. But I think it worked out ok. Do you?
