What Should Have Happened In The Hall
"I think that we are going to be very good friends." With that Alek leaned into kiss Chloe. For a second, she found it very weird that she could here his heartbeat but that went away when their lips touched. The kiss with Xavier had been nothing like this. She felt as though she was floating on Cloud 9. When Alek pulled away the longing to kiss him again came back full force. He leaned into Chloe, just looking at her. He knew that within the second that their lips touched that he was as whipped as whip cream. This not quite wallflower, not quite popular girl had intrigued him since the moment he saw her two years ago. They one day that they were friends had been the best day of Alek's life.
Then Jasmine walked down the stairs looking at the two of them just staring at each other. "Alek." The two looked up her with shock and a little sadness from not being alone in their eyes. Alek wrapped an arm around Chloe, hugging her as close to him as he could. The fact that she was not dead yet proved that she was Mai and he was ecstatic. The girl he loved… Wait, loved, he meant like didn't he.
"Jasmine, this is Chloe King. Chloe this is my cousin, Jasmine." Alek said smiling.
"Is she...?" Jasmine asked.
"Yes." Was all that Alek said. Jasmine smiled and walked off. Alek looked back at Chloe. "Soooo… what does that make us?" The hopeful look on his face made her smile.
"Well, that depends." She stated.
"Oh, and what is that?" He asked in a teasing tone.
"If you kiss me again." A goofy grin crept up in his face and he did just that. This kiss was better than the first, if that was possible. Well, until the Order attacked. There were three guys, all with weapons. A wave of protectiveness washed over Chloe. She didn't realize that she had claws until she clawed the guy's face that was closest to Alek. She was shocked until the guy got back up and tried to attack Alek with the other to guys. She grabbed the other two guys fought until they were both on the ground rolling around in pain. The first guy was also on the ground with his to colleagues.
Alek was staring at the two guys took down in shock. She was kind of shocked too.
"What do you want with Chloe?" Alek said in a slightly angered voice.
"To be the one to kill the Uniter." Was all the first man said.
"I think that we need to talk to Aunt Valentina about this." Was all he said. Then grabbed Chloe's hand went off to find Jasmine. Chloe was not quite sure how they got to Alek's place. All she could remember was stepping onto the elevator. Alek pressed the 18th floor button and they waited to go up. He used his key and opened the door. "Aunt Valentina! You here?"
A beautiful brunette walked out of what looked like an office. "Yes Alek? May I ask why you, Jasmine, and whoever this girl are skipping school?" She asked.
"This is Chloe, she is Mai even though she didn't quite know that until now. I think she may also be the Uniter," he said in a sexy British accent. Valentina looked at her nephew in shock.
"Why do you say that?" She asked.
"Well, these assassins came and started fighting us…" He was cut off by Jasmine.
"Wait, what? You never said anything about assassins." He sighed in annoyances.
"As I was saying these three assassins came a started fighting us and Chloe took down two of them." Pride was clear in his voice. "I asked them what they wanted with Chloe. They said they wanted to be the Uniter. Then we went and got Jasmine and came here." He said, grabbing for Chloe hand.
"Uh… well are you two okay?" She got nods in return. "Why don't you two go wash up. I have some calls I need to take." With that, she turned and walked back into the office. Jasmine walked into what Chloe assumed to be her room. Alek walked with Chloe to his room and they sat on his bed.
"So, what are Mai?" Alek answered every question he could for the rest of the day.
