A/N- Just saw an episode on TV and decided to write this really quick. For all the May & Drew fans out there. POV is weird, sorry…

"See you at a contest or something!" May's eyes shown so brightly, they sent a warm feeling down my spine. I saw the rose I had left for her clutched tightly in her hands. I had left that rose there and left in hopes I would be gone by the time it reached her. It's become a ritual, me leaving a rose behind for her pokemon. Her pokemon…Less explaining to be done when she thinks that's the case.

I don't need the bother of some love-sick girl on my heels. That would be nothing more than a bother.

But, as I think of it, I'm the one who shows up to contests early… to train of course, but seeing her arrive is just something I need to see. I normaly just sit alone at a random table and wait for the chime of that bell above the door and see her little "gang" enter. She's always so full of pep… so carefree… Today, though, I saw her cry at the loss of the festival. I would have said something but her friends were already there. I felt no need to intrude…

No way was I nervous. I have no reason to be… This girl, May, she's so dense… She wouldn't notice my feelings, if I had any that is, if I published them in a newspaper, with really bold print, and beat her over the head with it. Yet I notice how she smiles… even every now and again turns pink from a simple complement. She must be blind, cause I smile… I blush too.

"Yeah, you bet May." I couldn't tear my eyes away for a moment… Man, she's so cute.

"W-well, see you then…" Why is she tapping her foot like that? It's almost too cute…No, walk away…So I turned and took a few steps till…

"Uh…W-what are you doing May?" Oh no, my face, don't let her see! My cheeks were such terrible scarlet shade that the mighty Moltres' flames would grow envious. Heh, I was so nervous… She didn't say a word, just wrapped her arms around me in such a way that I thought, and hoped, she'd never let go.

"Thanks Drew…" I had no idea, and still don't, of what was going on in that crazed little head of hers but oh well. She released me and stepped back. I could have just walked away… maybe I should have… but I didn't wanna let it end… So I turned back to her and, in the blink of an eye and with all the courage I could muster, kissed her. I kissed May right there outside of the Pokemon Center. Anyone could have seen it, but they'd just had to have dealt with it.

She pulled pack and, face burning, I needed to find something to say…" May,….t-that's for-"

"S'okay..." She then placed one hand to her lips and backed up. "Next contest?"

"Yeah…" I felt like an idiot… maybe a little rejected… But I kept walking.

Time still passed… and at some point along the road I happened to find something stuffed in my coat pocket… I found this paper just yesterday…hmmm..

At a Pokemon center with coordinators getting ready for a soon-to-be contest…

Drew sat alone at a table in a Pokemon Center. He held in his hands a slip of paper and continuously read the words over, an over again…Every time he read them a pale shade of cherry crept to his expression. May, I can't believe how sneaky that was… your stupid hug was just a timid way of getting a message to me. A message that could have been said but, guess you're just a coward! He laughs lightly to himself. And May, I love you too.

The bell above the door chimes and a group of trainers, one with a red bandana, enter the scene.

A/N- That's it…. Sorry if it got confusing… I'll redo it later… Don't really feel like it right now…
