A young Naruto Uzumaki knocked on the front door to the Uchiha Clan Compound.
"Sasuke?" Naruto asked.
"Do you wanna get some ramen?
Come on, let's go and eat!
I never see you anymore
Come out the door
Or just admit defeat!
We're going to be great rivals!
And now we're not
But I sure as hell will try!
Do you wanna get some ramen?
It totally must be some ramen..."
"Go away, Naruto!" Sasuke demanded.
Naruto sadly walked away, leaving. "Okay, bye..."
He did not know that Sasuke was sitting up against the door, pools of red in front of him, his entire family besides his brother dead.
Years later, Naruto knocked on Sasuke's door once again.
"Do you wanna get some ramen?
Or fight an epic Ninja duel?
I want to beat you in an epic match
And just like that
Sakura will think I'm cool!"
"Go away, Naruto!" Sakura shouted from the sidelines.
"It gets a little lonely
In this hateful town
Watching the years pass by!"
Scenes from his life over the next few years flashed momentarily before him. When Sasuke took the attack meant for him in the fight against Zabuza and Haku, in the Forest of Death where Sasuke immediately recognized the fake Naruto for who he was, when Naruto kissed Sasuke, all those foes they never really talk about like their adventure in the Land of Snow, when they fought in Konoha, when they fought in Konoha again, when they fought at the Valley of the End, when Sasuke kissed Naruto, when Sasuke was attacked by an Ostrich, when Naruto and Sasuke kissed again, when the finally-reunited Team Seven stood on the final battlefield, and now...
Their final battle had ended, and Naruto and Sasuke lied down on the grass beside each other, each with an obliterated arm.
Naruto looked over to Sasuke and sang...
"Sasuke, please I know you're in there
What the hell was that about?
We both know the past and all its sacrifice
Shaped both our lives
Don't shut me out
We only had each other
But now there's more
What are we gonna do?"
Their blood leaked down and mixed, and formed a heart-shape.
"Do you wanna get some ramen?"
