As I sat on the roof, and gazed into the night, every fiber missed you, just as the sun misses the moon.
Splashes of tiny raindrops, the whistle of wind, and I knew. I knew that the world would be a better place, if I could only hold you to me. Hold you to my soaking wet body.
So I ran, and ran, and ran. I ran until I was gasping for breath, then I ran more. I ran until I reached your street, then saw your silhouette in the light of the lamplight.
As soon as I approached you, your body soaking wet, we embraced. Your head was rested on my chest, and I could feel your warmth.
As the rain cascaded down my face, my wet hair in my eyes, I whispered in your ear, "All I need to do, to know this is real, is hold you in my arms."
