Sky and Sand

Two dragons, a SandWing animus named Heatwave and a SkyWing diplomat named Talon, find their lives unexpectedly intertwined after a series diplomatic meetings brings them together. Instead of normal chapters, Sky and Sand is told through primary source documents, such as speeches, letters, and journal entries.

For the longest time, the SandWings and the SkyWings have been in a brutal and violent war over the Great Five-Tail River. Many lives have been lost in the conflict, and for what? Nothing has been gained. Neither side is close to winning. And so, it is our mission today to work out a peace treaty with the SkyWings. I have some of my best diplomats here - Golden, Fennec, Heatwave, Roadrunner, and Dawn - and Queen Sardonyx has hers - Raven, Glare, Talon, and Blaze. Today, three meetings will be held, two of Queen Sardonyx and I will attend and one of which will be just our fellow diplomats. We hope that, by the end of these meetings, we will have worked out a peaceful solution to the war over the Great Five-Tail River. An alliance would greatly benefit our two tribes.
