"ok, Tosh how is it coming?" Jack asked as he stalked into the small lab in the hub. They were experimenting with a new piece of technology that had come through the rift just outside Cardiff.
"well considering its near your technology it has been amazingly easy to backward engineer and get it to work. Its incredible."
"yeah but do we know what it does?" asked the always sarcastic Owen from his perch high above the others.
"well" Tosh started rather uneasily "it appears to, er, open the rift, a bit."
"and we all think that's a good idea do we?" the smirk appearing on Owens face was enough to make anyone want to hit him.
"well it cant hurt to try" was all Jack needed to say to end the discussion, and with a nod Tosh pushed the big yellow button in the middle of the device.
There was a rush of air accompanied by a blinding white light and there, in the middle of the room, stood a young woman, no more than 25 with blond hair and brown eyes. Looking absolutely bewildered.
