They just started dancing, but her mind was weighed down by everything she had to tell him. Everything he had to know.
"Kai," Cinder said, pushing him back to arm's length. She couldn't waste any more time. "I came here to tell you something. It's important."
Kai looked at her, and she glanced downward. She knew that he had to know about Levana, but she wanted to see, first, how he would react if it was not a girl giving him the information, but a cyborg and a Lunar.
She took a deep breath, and carefully lifted her right hand to her left glove. It was still stained with grease, but at least it had done its job.
In one swift motion, Cinder pulled her glove off, revealing her metal hand.
And she spun around and sang:
Let it go!
The whole ballroom stared, as Cinder spun and danced. Even Levana looked mildly perplexed.
Cinder finished with a dramatic flourish and bowed. The cold never bothered me anyway.
"Oh, and by the way? Levana wants to kill you."
This was just a side idea of mine that I came up with suddenly. I don't know if this is a good impression for my first Lunar Chronicles fic, but whatever :P
In case you didn't realize, this takes place during the ball at the end of Cinder. Let It Go is from Disney's Frozen. And yes, this whole fic was buildup for a joke ;)
