Hey everyone. This little drabble was written after I rewatched the first episode of Jericho. It's from the point of view of the little boy on the roof during the first few minutes of the episode. I hope you all enjoy Woody's Fear.

The sight of the huge mushroom cloud rising in the distances made the little boy jump up from his hiding space on the roof. He could distantly hear his sister calling his name and saying something about hiding better. But the sight in front of him keeps Woody rooted to his spot.

"Woody," calls his sister again, "I'm telling M..."

In an instant Woody knows that he has to go tell his parents what he has just seen. He knows that the big mushroom shaped cloud isn't good. He might be just a eight year old but he knows enough to know this very bad. He makes his way down from the roof the fear of what he saw finally catching his brain. He feels the tears slip down his face as he runs towards the house.

"Woody, what's wrong?" his sister calls after him.

He doesn't have time to explain to her. If something very bad and big like this is going on he has to tell his dad and Uncle Bill and they can handle it. That's what the police did. By the time he reaches the door handle his heart is pounding really hard with the fear of what he just saw.

His mother is the first one to notice that something is wrong with either of them. She walks over to him and notices the tears streaming down his face. Picking him up like she used to do when he was younger she asks him what is wrong.

"There was a weird cloud of that way," he says pointing towards the way the mushroom cloud had been. "I'm scared."

He's never uttered more truer words in his life.

I hope you all enjoyed Woody's Fear. I think I'm going to make a point of view fic for all the episodes from at least one or more characters an episode. So that way everyone gets to tell their part of the story.
