Remembering Old Times
The day was warm and sunny. It was a perfect day to exercise the Black. Alec saddled the Black very quickly and yet didn't notice. As he headed for the track he stopped by Henry for his orders even though it was the same every day.
Although it was the same thing every day, today was different. He had something on his mind. Today was the day that Pam first showed up on his door step saying, "Hello sun."
As he rode he was thinking of her, all of a sudden the Black swerved out of control. He must have felt Alec thinking of Pam. That's what Alec thought until he seen somebody by Henry talking and leaving in a silver dodge ram. With a picture on the back window of the black he thought it was a fan like every other day.
As he unsaddled the Black Henry came in saying,"We just had a very interesting visitor and she wants to work on the stables by grooming Blackjack or if it was okay with us the Black even." Alec laughed at him teasing Henry about hiring a girl ever since Pam. As Henry told him to nock it off, he said that it might do Alec some good if she started to work here. Alec asked when she would start and where she would stay. Henry said she would stay in the guest bedroom in the attic of the stables, and that she would start early next morning some time around 7:00. Alec thought it shouldn't be hard to wake up at that time, since he wakes up at 4:00. Just to feed the mares, foals, and stallions their breakfasts. That takes about an hour and a half to do. He also has to start exercising the 2 year olds on the starting gate and to teach them to command them when they ask them to make a move before it's too late. That takes about 2 hours to do with the way they train them. He started to wonder why Henry said it would do him some good to hire. That would have to wait until tomorrow at 7:00, because that is when all his answers will be figured out when he sees her.
