"You can come in now, sir," says the healer, and James bursts into the room where Lily is lying, exhausted, with a red bundle in her arms.
"Lily? Lily?"
"It's a boy, James," she says, tired but happy. "We have a baby boy."
"A boy," breathes James. "We have a son. Hi," he says to the squirming baby, "Hi, Harry, I'm your Dad, nice to, um… to meet you, I guess."
Lily seems too tired to laugh but she gives it a brave try. "Harry," she repeats. "Harry Potter."
