Troy went in for the shot.

A Knight, trying to block his shot, slammed into him.

Everything went slow motion for Troy.

Troy's POV

I went sliding into the bleachers, head first. BAM! Suddenly, I blacked out.

No one's POV

Troy only blacked out for a second as Chad ran up to help him up. "That's a foul!" somebody shouted. "You okay?" Chad asked. Troy was lost, mentally.

Troy's POV

I was grabbed by the hand by someone. As I stand, I feel lost. I look at the guy ({copy to see pic} tumblr_ ). "You okay?" he asked. I nodded and then a girl ran up to me. "Troy, are you okay?" she asked. I thought she was talking to the guy. But she looked at me. "Me?" I asked. She nodded, worry starting to spread on her face.

"I think I'm okay..." I began. She seemed to still be somewhat distressed.

She walked to the guy and they started to talk. I shrugged and started walking to the doors to my left. Then somebody came up and grabbed my arm. "Let go of me!" I shouted. The hand released me and a familiar voice said, "Troy, are you okay?" I responded, "I'm fine!" I walked to the door.

Coach Bolton's POV

When Troy retaliated, I knew something was wrong. All I did was touch him. Then he turned. "I-I'm sorry..." he stammered then rushed out. Gabriella and Chad ran after him. "Stop, Troy!" Gabriella called.

Gabriella's POV

I sighed in frustration and realized that something has to be severely wrong. He snapped off at his dad then had problems speaking to apologize. "Troy!" i called. He was headed to the cafeteria. He stopped. He came to me. "Yes?" he asked. "Troy, stay with me. Don't go anywhere." I instructed. He nodded.

Chad caught up with us. Mr. Bolton came up and said, "Let's take him to the nurse."

"Troy has slight case of mixed dementia." the nurse said. Chad and I stared at each other. "D-D-Dementia?" I stuttered. I started to feel light-headed and I started swaying. I almost fell but Chad caught me. "It's also a mix of amnesia." she added. Mrs. Bolton stammered, "W-w-what?" Chad sighed, "He did hit his head pretty hard though." I started to regain balance and Chad let go of me. The nurse nodded. "Even when the dementia clears up, it might take weeks...even months for Troy to restore all of his memories." she added.

Troy looked at everyone in the room. It was obvious he was scared of what was wrong.

"Come on, Troy." I said, motioning for him to come to me. He got up and I immediately hugged him.

"I love you, Troy. Remember that. Please." I begged.

Troy's POV

"I love you, Troy. Remember that. Please." she begged. "Gabriella, I always know that." I replied, memory falling into place. Gabriella's eyes widened and her lips formed a smile.

Flashback

Gabriella leapt over my bed, clutching my diary in her hand. "Give it back, Gabi!" I cried. I chased her down and pinned her against the wall, gently, kissing her forehead. "Now give it back, please." I begged. She shook her head and ducked between my legs before I could catch her. She leapt on the bed right before me, squealing, "Let me read it! Let me read it." I sighed and nodded. She opened it and read aloud:

September 4th

Gabriella is so silly. Why is she avoiding Chad and Taylor? Because she thinks Chad's still sick. All he has now is a slight headache and a moderately contagious cough. Taylor caught the flu so...yeah. Anyway, pressure's on. I've got to make one of the biggest decisions of my life...: whether or not to do theatre or basketball.

End of flashback

Gabriella kissed my cheek. "His memories are already coming back." she turned to the nurse. The nurse smiled, "That's a good sign. If he stays at this rate, he'll be back to normal in about a month or so." Gabriella hugged me.
