"I can't say it Abby." His voice cut across her ears like a knife. She had stormed into his house and excepted what she had wanted to hear. She had never excepted him to say that he didn't love her like the daughter she had been to him.

Why had she said that? She didn't want to be his daughter, but so much more.

Abby had no words for what he had just said, and even if they did she wouldn't be able to get them out without breaking down. She was shocked that she wasn't already screaming at him for what he did. She didn't want the man she knew to be a killer. She had always known him as the soft guy, even if he could be rough at times. He was a gentle and kind man she had come to love.

Not just love, but fall in love with.

"Why?" She finally managed. She felt her voice almost crack, and knew that her walls were close to tumbling down. Something that rarely happened, and even Gibbs had only seen a few times. All those times though, he had never been the reason.

"Because I don't love you like a daughter..." It was blunt and not like the one worded man she knew. Her view on him was drastically changing tonight, and she wasn't sure if she ever knew him. That hurt her the most, because she had always believed that he would never lie to her.

Gibbs stepped forward so that he was face to face with her. His hot breath fell on her face, and she had to tell herself to breathe. His blue eyes sparkled just the way she liked them, and she almost forgot the reason she was even there with him. The reason that she had been angry at him. That all seemed to melt away as he got into her personal space, and she hated herself for that. As he inched even closer she slammed her hand into his chest with surprising force; pushing him away.

"Don't do that! You can't say you don't love me then try to make me feel better about it!" She shouted and her eyes flared from bright green to dark. Something he had only seen twice in the time he had known her, she was more angry then she normally got.

"I never said I didn't love you." He quickly said grabbing her arm. He pulled her close to him, and let his lips crash to hers in a fluid motion. At first her body went tense at the feel, but soon she relaxed and was kissing him back.

They were both so angry at the world, and it only intensified their passion. His hands traveled to her waist pulling her closer. While her arms wrapped around his neck, one hand running through his hair. They took their moment, and didn't spare a second of it.

All of the pain they were holding spilled into the kiss. It was passionate, and pain filled. They both didn't know what would happen, but they tried their hardest to stay in the moment and imagine that it would be like this forever.

No one knew what would happen, and it finally got to Abby.

Abby removed her hands and pushed on his chest once more. She looked into his eyes, and saw the understanding that shown in his blue orbs. He knew what she had to do, and now he knew how much she loved him. One last look into his eyes and she told him that this was never going to be easy for her. Without any words she left him alone, and went to go make her decision.
