A/N: Well, this is my first Grey's Anatomy story, and this is going by the most recent episode as of this date, the one from last night, Sunday, October 30, 2005. If you have not seen this episode, thanks for the interest, but you really REALLY should turn back now. Please read and review and thanks for joining me for this interesting story.

Have you ever had one of those days that starts out so normal, and then everything seems to just go to crap? I mean, really. Being a surgical intern, I couldn't really complain, because everyday was stranger than the last.

Today started out no differently. It took forever for me to get into the bathroom. It's rather ironic, really, it's my house, my bathroom, and they take it up forever.

"Izzy, are you almost done in there?" Meredith called from outside the bathroom door.

Finally, Isabel Stevens left the bathroom and quietly walked past me. That was unlike her.

Managing to make it to the hospital on time was good for all of them, considering the alternative of Bailey yelling at everyone otherwise.

George walked over to his locker, noticing someone he hadn't seen before going to the locker across the way. Was she a new surgical intern?

"Hi", George greeted the woman, who was taller than him, and her dark brown hair was tinted with red.

She smiled to him as she pulled the long hair back with a ponytail holder, "Hey."

"I'm Doctor George O'Malley", he smiled too.

"I know," she glanced at his lab coat that he had put on moments earlier, "I'm Doctor Elizabeth Tucker, Nuclear Radiology."

She pulled hers out of her locker before shutting it, "So, Doctor O'Malley, shouldn't you be getting to your rounds?"

"Please, call me George, Doctor Tucker", George turned back to his own locker, knowing that she was right; he needed to get to rounds before Bailey came in to chew him out.

"Call me Annie. It's my middle name, and I figure that it won't be confused with Dr. Stevens", she smiled again, walking over to be beside him for a moment, catching a glance at some of the other people in the room.

"So you mean…" Alex Karev was saying, from around the corner as he clipped on his pager.

She nodded, "Yeah, my initials spell eat."

They all started laughing as they headed out of the room to go about their business.

Meredith had left the room before everyone else, and was heading towards the elevator to make her usual rounds.

There, in the elevator, was him. That…man.

"Good morning, Doctor Grey", he dared speak to her, after all that had gone on.

"Don't talk to me, Doctor Shepherd. And I want you to know that I am going to consume large amounts of tequila at Joe's the minute I get off work today. But, you're almost not worth it", Meredith punched the floor button, harder, hoping it'd get her where she wanted to go faster, knowing all the while that it wouldn't.

The man sighed, "But Meredith, can't you understand? She's my wife."

"I know, you're entire family. You can't just leave your family. How very sentimental of you, Doctor Shepherd. Now if you don't mind, I have patients with bigger problems to take care of", she left as the doors parted, leaving him behind in the elevator, shaking his head.

At least that went well. The morning was far from over, though. And it was just going too smoothly. Like during the winter when everything is white with snow, but you know that under the snow is ice. Cold, treacherous ice, which can ruin the entire week, because you still have to get to work.
