Inside Jumba's spaceship, Lilo, Stitch, Pleakley, and some experiments were gathered around Jumba's new invention. It looked like a metal circle with a large hole in the middle.
"Behold my new invention!" Jumba announced.
"What is it?" Lilo asked.
"If this works the way I wanted it to, it should be a portal to another dimension. You could go through it and end up on an alternate version of Earth."
"That sounds dangerous!" Pleakley said.
"Maybe," Jumba said. "Then again, when aren't my inventions dangerous?"
Experiments laughed all around. Jumba pulled down a switch. Seconds later, a blue portal appeared in the circle. Waves of purple emitted from the center, forming circles as they repeatedly hit the edges of the portal. The experiments who were gathered around stared into the portal and began to walk towards it.
"Wait!" Jumba said. "What are you all doing? I am testing it, not you."
The experiments would not listen they ran through the portal. Even Stitch was among them.
"Stitch!" Lilo said.
"What's happening?" Pleakley asked.
"They appear to be hypnotized," Jumba said. "Nothing is happening when I look at the portal. Perhaps the portal somehow hypnotizes my experiments and lures them into it."
"We have to get them back out!"
"It's too dangerous!" Jumba said. "We do not know if we would make it out."
"But we have to save them! They're family! And family means nobody gets left behind."
Lilo finished her argument and jumped into the portal.
"What are we gonna do?" Pleakley asked. "If we go save her, we could end up dead! If Nani comes home from work and sees that Lilo is gone, we will still be dead!"
"Better to die in there then in the hands of her sister," Jumba said before he ran through the portal.
"Oh no!" Pleakley said. "I hope this doesn't destroy my orange dress."
Pleakley followed and ended up in a room with Jumba. The portal floated in the air. It did not have the metal that surrounded the other end.
"Where's Lilo?" Jumba asked himself.
"There's an open door," Pleakley said.
Jumba and Pleakley went through the doorway and ended up in a hallway. They saw Lilo holding on to Stitch, still hypnotized. Stitch was trying to escape.
"Jumba!" Lilo screamed.
Jumba ran over and helped her restrain Stitch. A minute later, the hypnosis wore off.
"What happened?" Stitch asked.
"It seems that the hypnosis is temporary," Jumba said.
"Where are your cousins?" Lilo asked.
"I don't know," Stitch said.
"The hypnosis must have worn off on them as well," Jumba said. "But they could have gone anywhere in this house."
"This looks like one of those nice boarding houses," Pleakley said. "I think it's three o'clock. We have two hours until Nani comes back home."
"We'll have to find Stitch's cousins in that time," Lilo said. "You guys look around these hallways. Stitch and I will search downstairs. Remember where this room is at."
