A/N

I'll specify ahead of time that this is based on the episode A Friend in Deed and the song Yankee Doodle. Something to be sung rather than read in a sense.

Cranky Doodle

Cranky Doodle went to down,

He passed many fillies.

But he came across a pony,

That was acting silly.

...

The pink one got on his remaining nerves,

She struck him as a real lout.

Laughing, smiling, actions reviling,

And her fourth wall cut-outs.

...

Welcome wagons, confetti cannons,

She wouldn't leave him alone.

Ponyville now did not seem,

A suitable new home.

...

She got in his hair, and knocked it off,

Showed him to be bald.

Young ponies laughed at Cranky Doodle,

Made him feel old.

...

The spa helped a bit, as did the sit,

And he went back to walking.

But that damn annoying pony,

Just would not stop talking!

...

He arrived at home, had some time alone,

But the pony followed.

Destroyed his book of memories,

And in sorrow Cranky wallowed.

...

The pony left and then returned,

A pursuit did ensure.

For Cranky's sorrow and annoyance,

There simply was no cure.

...

Yet the pony found his forgotten love,

And finally Cranky smiled.

Along with getting privacy,

And joy for all the while.
