Jason Todd Recruits Jason Voorhees

This is part of a larger project I'm working on called Nightmare Of The Bat which will cross over the DC Multiverse with the iconic horror films currently owned by Platinum Dunes. I wrote this monologue today, though, and thought I'd put it up as a sort of teaser and personal motivation for me to write the rest of it. This scene takes place in the woods near Camp Crystal Lake and is delivered by a recently resurrected Jason Todd to the always resurrected Jason Voorhees. Enjoy.

"Listen, man. We're both unstoppable killing machines. Why are we unstoppable? Because we already died. And you know what else? We have more in common than our names, buddy. Hell, we have more in common than our love of masks. We have the same killer, Jason. You think the Joker killed me with his crowbar and his bomb? Nah. Same thing that killed you, killed me. Negligence. The great and mighty Batman was negligent toward me, let Joker murder me and my mother, just like those horny camp counselors were negligent toward you, letting you drown in Crystal Lake. You've been taking revenge on everyone to set foot on the grounds of Camp Crystal Lake ever since. And I dig that. I do. But here's the thing, Jason. I want revenge my own self. But see, ah, mine's gonna be a little more focused. Did you know that Batman still hasn't killed the Joker for what he did to me? And did you further know that even though he swore to me on my grave that there would never be another Robin, you can goddamned sure bet there's another kid running around in the green short tights as we speak. Well, as I speak. You're a real good listener, Jason. Let's see how well you follow orders…"
