Prologue

"You shame-of-society, stupid careless girl, I'm telling you to stop." I stopped in my tracks a few meters away from my lover. I wouldn't move, all I wanted to do was turn around and jump back into her arms, but she broke my heart. On the day that I was going to propose to her, she never showed up. Ever since that day, my life has drastically changed; I became a whole another person. But she doesn't know that. I stood there waiting for something to happen, silently waiting.

'Alicia, did you know that I was going to be at the ice-cream shop? So you came to look for me? Nanoha asked. I couldn't answer her, my throat dried up. I mean what am I meant to do; I didn't replied and kept my mouth shut. She took a step closer, crossing the bridge

"Since you appeared back in my life, can you turn around and talk to me?"Nanoha asked while walking towards me. I reluctantly turned around slowly not wanting to keep eye contact. Then I realized her eyes were red and puffy. My heart ached, knowing that it was me who caused that. Somewhere in my heart I hoped she had felt some bit of the hurt that she caused me.

"I heard Fate say that you have something to tell me." I wasn't going to waste any time, so I went straight to the point. I couldn't bear to stand there, not knowing anything

She stared at me confused "Fate-chan….."

"Didn't you ask her to find me" my eyes started to water, but I held my head high and kept it in

"Yes, I searched for you for three years. There's something that I haven't been able to tell you, it's something I was going to tell you three years ago" she answered her face full of honesty; I didn't know whether I was to believe her or not.

I was curious though, the thing she wanted to say to me I wanted, no needed to know what it was "What did you want to tell me?"

She opened her mouth to reply "The thing I wanted to say was…"
