A/N: Set b/w A La Cart (8x02) and Goodbye and Good Luck (8x07)

It was 11:30 at night and Sara Sidle sat on the bench in the locker room of the Las Vages Crime Lab. She sat there staring at the lockers in a daze. She'd been sitting there like this since her shift ended about a half hour ago. She was brought out of her daze when Nick Stokes walked into the locker room and began talking to her.

"Sara?" He asked, surprised to see her still here and not working.

"Mmm?" She replied without taking her eyes off the locker in front of her.

"Are you ok?" Concern now present in his voice.

"mm hmm." She replied, once again she didn't turn to face him.

"Isn't your shift over?" Nick was a little confused at this point.

"Yeah, half hour ago. Guess I should go home." she turned to look at him for that last part.

"Are you sure everythings ok?" He asked again, definatly sure something was wrong.

"Yeah, it's just that..." she stopped and then tried again, "I um... have to..." again she stopped momentarly before trying a third time. "My car is..." this time she stopped and looked down at her hands, playing with her fingers.

Nick now starting to get an idea of what might be bothering his friend took a seat beside her. "Sara, where'd you park when you got here today?" Nick asked as he sat down beside her on the bench.

Letting out a small laugh, Sara replied, "In the parking garage." before she looked at him again.

"You remember that Spencer case we worked out in that abandoned military bunker a couple years back?"

"That weird cult suicide, where the ring leader was similar to Manson?" Now it was Sara's turn to be confused.

"Mm hmm. Well that case was shortly after I was burried in that box and the military bunker was underground... and well..." Nick stopped there hoping Sara would catch his drift.

"You were afraid to go into the bunker because it was underground." She finished for him, never taking her eyes off his.

"Yeah I was, and I can't help but wonder if you're finding yourself in a similar situation?" he questioned her already knowing the answer.

Letting out a laugh, Sara began to nod. "I guess I am." There was a long moment of scilence as the two sat on the bench enjoying each others presence.

"Common, I'll walk you out" He gave her a huge smile and the two walked side by side joking on the way to Sara's car in the parking garage.
