Meta laid there, bleeding from her side, and her red dress soaking into a more of a scarlet color. All she did was go to get some milk for the little ones, from the village nearby, and when she came back. They were gone.

"My children are nowhere to be found", She remember thinking. Or had she said that out loud.

She can't remember anymore. She was losing blood fast and can feel her life slipping. "I suppose this is what I deserve, after all I've done….but the twins.."

Panic had gripped meta's soul when she hadn't seen the twins where she left them. But what made it worse was the shadow she saw holding them, and then proceeding to run away from her with the children in it's hands.

She had screamed at it to stop, to give her back her children, but it kept running throughout Held's forest. The twins had woken up at one point and then cried, wailing for their mother. Sometime later (how long had she chased it for?) she had managed to catch up.

Meta had grabbed the cloak that covered the figure, and then the figured turned around

The face she saw was a familiar one but didn't recognize it. It was a woman, with green eyes and green hair in pigtails with familiar terrified expression,

And next thing she knew, Meta was on the ground in front of small cottage( 'When was that there?') bleeding as she had shot from the side of her stomach. The basket with the food fell and the contents spilled.

Magic. She had been shot by magic. Meta had felt the magic pierce her with great force. The woman must be a powerful witch, perhaps the same as herself.

And that's how she had ended up here, on the cold hard ground. Her children...would they be alright?. They weren't normal twins afterall.

The incarnations of the twin dragon gods

But as long as they would live a happy life, for why she stole them from that terrible place, she wouldn't mind.

As she took in her final breaths, she heard a scream. A scream filled with shock and realization, as the woman who stole her children was told,

"Our children are already dead, please return them to their own mother."

And then everything went black.
