Shadow of a stranger

chapter 1: voices
"Shadow please do it for me, for all the people
who live on that planet I beg of you."
"Maria!" shadow awoke to a blue screen on the television.
"Damn, those dreams again." shadow held his head. He pulled
the blankets of himself and got out of bed. Shadow stood staring
out the window. He stared down at the caf‚ "that sounds good
right about now." shadow pulled the curtains down and put on
his shoes and jacket. Shadow stared down at the clock 2:00 a.m.
Shadow left out the door and softly said "Maria."
Shadow walked into the rain. The caf‚ was right across
from where he was standing. Voices stormed in his head.
"Sayonara shadow the hedgehog, the worlds ultimate life form,
is that what chaos control is?" the voices grew louder. Shadow
started to whisper " leave me alone." shadow held his head. He
kept on walking until he reached the side walk. The sign on the
door said- CLOSED ON CHRISTMAS EVE AND DAY- " jeez
forgot the date." shadow turned around to face three large men "
want some coffee? Shadow slowly walked over. The three guys
attacked shadow. Shadow took out a red chaos emerald from his
coat pocket. They charged after him. " chaos control!" the three
guys went through him like thin air.
"What the hell?, where'd he go?"
Shadow quickly appeared behind them and took them all out. Shadow put the chaos emerald back In his pocket
"all in a day's work." shadow clapped his hands together as if he had just cleaned a mess.
"Wow what a show." shadow turned around to face a large man in a cloak. "Who are you?" shadow asked
" just consider me a friend " ok then what can I call you?" shadow could see the smirk on his face " just call me sir."
shadow stood adrift " ok sir what do you want?" the man held up and waved his finger
" it's not what I want, it's something you want or rather someone." shadow had a sarcastic look on his face
" there's nothing' I want."
Shadow heard voices in his head again.
"Maria this is what you wanted right?" shadow envisioned what everyone thought was his death.
"No shadow your jobs not finished!" the voices grew louder in his head "whada you know?
The man pulled out a yellow chaos emerald "let's take a look"
shadow saw maria faintly through the chaos emerald. Shadow lied and said " I don't see anything, now leave me alone.
Shadow walked away until he heard the man speak. " her name is maria isn't it." shadow turned around "
I can bring her back." shadow's eyes grew wider "how?" shadow walked closer
" no time for questions my boy; there's two things I need you to do for me, bring me all seven chaos emeralds and.....
kill sonic the hedgehog!" shadow's eyes glowed a red glow
"you can find the first emerald in the mystic ruins by day break take the station square train station at 7:00 a.m.
come back here once you find the emerald I'll see you shadow." shadow walked away " hey I never told you my name."
shadow turned around to see no one.
