It had been a normal day, or something of the sort. At that school, it was impossible to tell exactly what would happen at any given point. There was a new kid at the school, a little boy who had started three weeks before. From the beginning, the other children could tell he would be doomed; he was the type Dori hated the most. His name was Edward. He was a braggart and for some odd reason, he sparkled in the sunlight. Now, Dori wasn't an openly dooming sort of person, especially not to the teachers, but to those who knew her, could strike fear into those she didn't like.
Many of the girls in their class loved him. It was those three weeks later that made the mark of doom on Edward's life. They had been at recess, and as usual, Edward was sparkling and attracting more attention than he should've been given. One comment doomed his existence.
"Edward, why do you sparkle?" Fangirl A asked.
"You're so pretty!" Fangirl B chimed in.
"It's 'cause I'm a vampire!" He said, his chin raised with pride. From across the playground, Dori stood and approached, every pore in her body releasing an aura of, "Kill, kill, kill, kill..."
The children streamed out of the school, many girls crying, boys secretly cheering, and Dori just fine with a victorious grin on her face.
