A small window was open in the other house. This other house was a gateway, of such, to an alternate dimension. In through the window flew a small cloth doll, with a happy seadweller girl's face on it. A thin, grey hand reached out to seize it from mid-air. Laying the doll down on the table, the being cut the small, pink dress off the doll. It removed the long, black hair crowning the doll's head. The two horns were then removed, then the buttons that took the place of the girl's eyes. Ripping through the thread stitching up the mouth, she pulled the little blade across her own handiwork.

The creature flipped the doll inside-out, to create a new doll. It took a bag of sand, filling the cloth body with the material. Sewing the mouth shut, she laid the doll on the small table. Pulling out a drawer, it selected a pair of deep, deep blue eyes- so deep they were almost black. It put strands of black hair, a pair of wiry glasses, and two asymmetrical horns on the doll's head. Putting on the doll's clothes, it lifted the scorpio-shirt emblazoned doll back up into the air and let it fly out the window, closing the small opening.
