[Lux-Pain] Stumble [Liu Yee/Atsuki]

He tripped yesterday.

It was very much unlike him to trip. Atsuki is very feline in movement. He's fluid, graceful; almost ghostlike.

But he tripped.

It was as he was walking back to his flat in Tohodo and although I've been situated in the district farthest from his I am always looking after him. He is where I am always most needed. This is what I tell myself.

I watched him trip.

And as he fell over that crack in the sidewalk, I was thinking to myself: I must catch him. I cannot let him fall to the ground. For that one moment I knew nothing of FORT and Silent and the streets of Kisaragi City. All I could think of was Atsuki's foot, which was stumbling forward awkwardly and would not support his weight when it met the ground.

At that moment, I wanted nothing more than to catch him.

I work in the shadows. Darkness is my assigned environment and I accept it readily. Atsuki works in broad daylight, undercover where he is told to go. We are supposed to adhere to these positions. We are supposed to do as told.

At that moment, I didn't care.

I almost sprinted from where I stood in an alleyway. I might have shouted, in my throat. I may even have whispered his name.

But he tripped.

My eyes might have watered.

And as he picked himself up, dignified but embarrassed, I sunk back into the alley. I was not supposed to be there. I was supposed to be trailing some Silent infectee or awaiting orders in some secluded place. Instead I was there, watching Atsuki trip and wishing I had caught him.

How would he react, expecting the cold concrete and finding warm arms- my arms- instead?

He tripped yesterday.

Today I am watching even more closely over him, watching in case it happens again.

[A/N] Liu Yee, you creeper.

Still, I very much believe he has a crush on Saijo~ They are definitely my favorite pairing in the Lux-Pain game. : D

I wrote this because there is not enough Liu Yee/Atsuki on the internet!! Anger, anger, anger.
