Something New

A/N: Here's another GG drabble-y ficlet. I've amended the definition to those to 500 words or less rather than 300, but that doesn't really matter. Um, enjoy! R&R! Thanks! –Mac

Disclaimer: I don't own GG.

Something New

Blair stared at her figure in the full length mirror. She twirled in front of it to see herself at different angles. She smiled; she looked like perfection just as she should on her wedding day.

The door to the Bride's room creaked open and Blair turned to see Serena bound in. Serena looked gorgeous in her maid-of-honor's dress—but not as good as the bride, never as good as the bride. Serena crossed the room in a few long strides and stood in front of Blair.

"Chuck wanted me to give this to you. He said he would have given it to you himself, but he knew you wanted to do the whole groom-can't-see-the-bride thing." Serena held out a box to Blair. "He said it could be your something new."

Blair smiled as she took the box. She opened it to reveal a beautiful silver necklace. The pendant was a delicate diamond encrusted butterfly. She pulled out the necklace and asked Serena to help her put it on.

Blair observed herself in the mirror once again. Correction: now she looked like perfection.
