Just a small one shot were Rukia gets Ichigo a special 18th birthday present after a large argument

Rukia sat on the bench outside of the 13th division her head hung low tears threatening to come out "so stupid, shouldn't have said that"
(Flash back)
"Ichigo, I need to go back to soul society"
"Why" he looked sad at her sudden need to be back in the spirit world
"I just need to be there, I'm going to be promoted to 4th seat"
"Ok congratulations" he smiled at her, a genuine smile not like the ones he gave at school
"Ok? Is that it?"
"What do you mean Rukia?"
"Cant you say something like don't go I'll miss you or don't take the job stay hear or something"
"Rukia I've known you long enough to know that when you want something not to argue" her anger was beginning to swell up
"AM I THAT PREDICTABLE, ICHIGO? YOU OBVIOUSLY DON'T WANT ME HEAR SO I'LL JUST GO!" and with that she had left
(End flash back)
"it will be his birthday soon" she smiled to herself "I should get him something extra special for his birthday this year"
"Rukia-san" a messenger from the 6th division stood before her "Kutcki Taichou, wishes to see you"
In the 6th division
"Nii-Sama, you wanted to see me" her brother looked up
"yes Rukia I have noticed that you looked sad lately, what is wrong?"
"Ichigo and I had an argument" he sighed deeply
"do you love him?" she nodded "very well, I think I may have something that can help you"
"Nii-Sama, thank you" the man just smiled, "now come hear so no one else hears"
In the Kurosaki household
"Ichigo, breakfasts ready" the orange haired substitute Shinigami opened his bedroom door
"ok, thanks Yuzu, I'll be down in a minuet" he quickly pulled on some cloths and walked down the stairs
"Morning Ichi-Ni"
"morning Karin, Yuzu" his younger sisters smiled as he sat down at the table
"GOOD MORNING ICHIGOOOOOOO!" Ichigo quickly ducked his hyperactive father as he flew into a wall attempting to attack his son "well done son you are truly a man"
"oh yea it's Ichi-Ni's birthday today" the whole family except Ichigo cheered
"ok son before you go meet with your friends I have a present for you" Ishinn handed Ichigo a small black box, he opened it to find two things, one a ring that had a blue stone in the centre and the second was a car key
"dad did you get me a car" the old man smiled and nodded
"and that ring was your mothers" Ichigo smiled then ran to the front door and sat waiting for him was a nice silver car, it was big enough to hold five people maybe four if Chad was with them
"Ichi-Ni phone" Karin called from the living room, he walked in still smiling and took the phone from Karin
"Hello"
"Ah Kurosaki-san nice to hear from you, happy birthday"
"sandal hat? What you calling for, actually how did you get my number?"
"Rukia gave it to me, anyway she's waiting hear for you, say's she has a surprise for you"
"ok I'll be right there" he put the phone down then headed for the store were Sandal hat worked
"Rukia, it's been a while" she smiled lightly and nodded, her Zanpactou was drawn and she opened a gate into soul. Society
"come on then" he followed the small raven haired girl through and noted that they had ended up in the 6th division, they then walked into the building to a door "wait hear" he nodded and she went through, Ichigo could hear two muffled voices talking then the door opened
"Happy Birthday Strawberry" Rukia smiled then stepped aside so Ichigo could see who was behind her
"Happy Birthday Ichigo" he stared at the woman wide eyed before tears began to swell up
