Chapter 1
Sakura threw the covers off and looked at her alarm clock. The girl jumped out of bed, she had promised to meet her best friend Tomoyo at the park half an hour ago. Sakura raced around her room throwing on her clothes and brushing her short auburn hair into the usual pigtails. As the girl opened her door a yellow lab puppy bounded in carrying Sakura's shoes in its mouth.
"Thanks Kero!" Sakura took the shoes from the puppy and patted him on the head. Kero ran after his young mistress who was heading for the kitchen for a quick breakfast.
"What's the hurry squirt?" Tory, Sakura's older brother asked as his sister raced into the kitchen.
"I'm late!" Sakura panted as she took a plate of eggs from her father. Tory shook his head and rolled his eyes.
"Well isn't that a surprise?" Sakura stuck out her tongue and finished her eggs. Kero glared at Tory's half eaten breakfast. "What do you want?" Tory asked the dog. "He wants your food baka." Sakura said grabbing her backpack. Kero jumped on the boy's leg. Tory gave a death glare and kicked the puppy off of him.
"Oh! Tory baka! Kero come on!" Sakura put the dog's leash on not
trusting Tory alone with him.

"Tomoyo. where is Sakura?" A boy with sapphire hair asked. Tomoyo rocked back in her swing smiling.
"Don't worry Eirol. She's late, she'll be here soon." The boy nodded. Sakura did have a tendency to be late for things.
"What are we going to do when Sakura finally does get here?" Eirol asked. Tomoyo thought for a minute.
"Well I suppose we could go to the carnival." Eirol smiled at that.
"Sakura won't want to go on any of the roller coasters or fun houses." Tomoyo's eyes lit up.
"I'll have to find a way to make her go on. It would make such a good tape!" Eirol rolled his eyes. He and Tomoyo had been going out for a while now and he understood how much taping meant to her.
