"I've got you! Are you alright? Are you wounded?"

This had been the most common thing the tactician always heard whenever she was suddenly targeted by enemies that noticed her. They would then come running towards her hoping for an easy kill. It would sometimes be Lyn who'd save her from the mess, and on occasional times, someone else.

She was starting to hate it.

She still wondered why it have to be like this, that she had to be always thought as helpless whenever a fight occurs near her. She was capable of protecting herself. That was the main reason she bought a knife at one of those shops she and the army came across.

She was the army's tactician, the person who would yell at the top of her lungs to issue a command, and sometimes call on a healer for an injured soldier. She was the person who thought of all the strategies before or during a skirmish. Though she had quite a few losses here and there, most of the engaged battles were still won.

But still, it wouldn't hurt at all if they just let her be for a couple of times on the battlefield.

It was just that it gave her a feeling of always being the person who needed assistance every time an enemy comes near. She could still fight, even if her skills at combat are at a mediocre level. She knew her limits, and she would yell for help when she did need it. So why did they always come to her as if she could die anytime due to foolish mistakes?

Maybe… it was all because they were simply worried about her welfare. After all, she was the only person with an unusual profession in the army. She was the one who guided them in every battle, and the first to cheer every time it was won. She had her share her tears over friends who perished during one of those times she made a terribly wrong mistake. She would move on and continue the job she gave herself when she met the Sacaean plainswoman, Lyn , nearly two years ago. She was their tactician.

She knew that well and she kept telling herself that they just wanted her safe. But yet, she still felt like the one always protected.
