Intro.
The plan will never work, I don't know why this is even an option.
"Do we have an understanding?" His voice is strong, powerful.
"Yes, my Lord" We all say back in an almost chant. I just want to leave.
"You are dismissed" He says. I nod, and stand. 'Good… about time' I think to myself. I'm the first one up from the table and to the door.
"Severus?" A soft gentle voice calls after me. My heart skips a beat. 'STOP IT' I tell it as I turn around. There she is.
"Severus, I was thinking…" She looks around and lowers her voice. "That we should talk about last night." I understand her concern in her voice now.
"Not now Narcissa." I look around make sure no one can her me. "I'll send you an owl." Lucius walks over. The hate I have for this man is unexplained.
"Thank you for, for vowing to protecting Draco" 'I had no choice' I think to myself.
"Of course" I say with a nod.
"It's … comforting knowing someone will be watching over him at Hogwarts." He Pauses. His face is so unreadable. "I'll be checking in on, both of you." He turns to Narcissa. My stomach turns as I see his hand rest on her lower back. "Come Cissy. It's time to go home." As they walk away she turns to look at me. I quick glance. Her eyes glazed, her face turned down. I look away. 'Don't, Severus. DON'T' I tell myself as I apperate back to Hogsmeade.
My mission, get Potter in the hands of Voldemort, but in reality, try to delay the inevitable.
