"Way of the world huh? But, the way of the world changes. That's why. I'll try to challenge it head on!"
There were many bold people before him, yet he was most certainly the boldest of them all… He was the epitome of recklessness.
He had his reasons, he was brought up in a more open minded manner. He wanted freedom, for people that were oppressed for so long, he wanted a change. Still… Those who know the truth cannot be set free.
"I want to know the truth. I want to help Hokulea." Hector stated and looked right into Shingetsu's eyes. "Let me meet the High Priestess." It was both a request and an order.
"We cannot let outsiders know the way to the sacred land. If you come with us we can't let you go back alive." Shingetsu warned him.
"I understand." Not a single second of hesitation.
"Your Highness!" Koal spoke up hoping to change the man's decision, he was hoping to fight against the hope.
"But, I won't just stand by and let myself get killed." Hector stated without a single spec of a doubt in his mind.
Yes, he truly was reckless, yet he held himself with power rarely seen. If he were to rule over this country, if he were to be the one to lead it into a new tomorrow, then maybe there was a chance for Hokulea to find a common language with the rest of the citizens.
He, Hector, was the hope they all had.
Hector was the one who was ready to go against the way of the world.
Shingetsu was willing to believe that he could do it.
And she was not the only one.
More than anything his resolve, determination and charisma, all of that made him their light.
Light that would be passed down to none other than his half-brother, to the usurper, to the 'commoner's child' and a mere bastard. His brother Belca.
After reading the manga I simply had to write a story for it. Anyway I hope you enjoyed it.
