(A/N: This is dedicated to Hannah, because I promised, and also because if it weren't for her, Sara and I probably would have just played with the refrigerator magnets the whole time instead of actually making brownies. Enjoy!)
Brownies
Gabe watches as Diana takes a pan of freshly-baked brownies out of the oven. The smell makes him smile—he loves brownies.
When Diana gets distracted by something, Gabe grabs a brownie, ignoring how it burns his fingers. One hot, rich, chocolaty brownie isn't enough, though. He takes another one. And another. And another. And another. Eventually, he ends up taking the entire pan. His hands and tongue are burnt and his face is covered in sticky chocolate, but it's worth it. Gabe loves his mom's brownies more than anything else.
Diana turns back to where the brownies had been sitting. "That's strange," she says out loud to no one. "I just put a pan of brownies right there…I think. Or did I imagine that? Natalie? Did you eat the brownies I just made?"
Hidden from Diana's sight, Gabe grins. No one'll ever suspect him.
