"Good job on the win today, Chrono!" Luna smiled at Chrono. Chrono had just beat Ibuki at the Star Gate branch, and he was ecstatic. He was walking home with Luna, since she had a bit of free time on her hands.
"That old man had it coming! I'm not a fan of how he does things, but he's a really awesome Cardfighter." Chrono said. He counted himself lucky for today's win, as the pink haired girl next to him smiled, as they walked on the bridge, other couples looking off into the moon.
"Remember when we first met at the card shop? Our first match?" Luna asked, as they walked under the glistening moonlight. Chrono looked at her and smiled.
"How could I have forgotten? For a newbie, you showed serious imagination and strength! I can't believe Am is that good to be beating you constantly!" Chrono complimented. Luna blushed, being complimented on her Cardfighting skills was usual something Am did. It was rare she heard it from someone else.
"Hey Chrono... I've been thinking. Would you... like... another... match?" Luna asked, not wanting to make direct eye contact.
'I shouldn't be this nervous... it's just a game...' She thought. She looked at Chrono, who seemed to have taken a while to let that sink in.
"Of course! I'm always up for a game! After all, Vanguard is my life." Chrono replied. Luna smiled and blushed furiously, the look of joy on her face made her look like an idiot, but she didn't care.
"Hooray!" She shouted, causing others to stare at her. She blushed with embarrassment, her face as pink as her hair. Chrono smiled and looked at her, as he walked to the railings of the bridge.
"Hmm? What's up, Chrono?" Luna asked, curious as to what Chrono was doing.
"Sometimes I just like to come here and just... think. Stare into the beautiful moon, and re-evaluate all I've done. It's something I've been doing for a while." Chrono said, smiling and looking at the moon. Luna smiled and followed suit.
"It really is beautiful, isn't it." Luna simply stared. She could understand why Chrono would do this. She too, was thinking about her life. Her choice to be an idol, Am, everything was being thought about. But she was always thinking of Chrono while doing this. She just couldn't stop herself.
'I have to... then I can move on...'
"Chrono... there's something I need to... te-" she was stopped by Chrono's finger on her lips.
"I know what you're gonna say. You don't have to. Let's just enjoy this moment. Together."
Upon hearing this, Luna smiled. She leaned her head on Chrono's shoulder and hugged his arm.
"Moonlight is my magic. I suppose that magic helped tonight."
"I'm sure it did." Chrono smiled, as they both shared the sight of the moon.
