Story Title: Pure Luck.
Rating: 'T'
Warnings: Mentions...of suicide, perhaps?
A/N: Haha, fourth 'Munto' story' so far. :) Come on people, why am I the only one typing anything? We need more Munto stories! Anyway, this story is a homage to the Kazeya/Suzume pairing, and about the beautiful relationship that they both share. Seriously, who else would swim across a river, in a floral tube, just to symbolize something that they can overcome? She saved him from death. That's flaming awesome.
~Pure Luck~
It was pure luck that the two of them met.
He was fed up with his failure of a life. If you could use such a grand word for it. He wanted to just feel the water invade his body without a second's worth of a doubt- he didn't deserve anymore time to walk on such a beautiful ground. For all he did was stain it with corruption and impurity- was he even a human? A ghost of himself? Questions a many, he didn't care anymore.
He just wanted to leave this world, and divulge into the fiery and blazing depths of hell. At least, in a sense, the pure water would be kind enough and would allow him to see nothing but the overcoming darkness of the deep. Before he took that final leap that would snatch away his life. There would be no thoughts, just solem looks from passers by, maybe a pity party or two.
Who was he kidding. There was no turning back.
No second chances...
...until that small girl came a long.
She was a petite, curious creature. He first thought her to be a grade scholar, maybe even younger. But, as strange as the events came and left in his bizarre style of life, it was shortly revealed that she actually was only two years younger than himself. Lifting her out of the water and back onto dry land, as the earthy texture blessed her feet as she took off her dripping wet-foot garments.
...And she thanked him.
Nobody had ever thanked him, except for a sarcastic quip that insulted his pride (not that he had much left anyway), or perhaps (and rarely) for a good, violent fight. No, she was thanking him...for being him? For saving her? What on earth could she be thanking him for?
He was wrong.
She thanked him- for not taking away his own life.
And she told him?
"Live on! So many lands await you, so much to see and explore! So live on! Promise?"
He was sure this was the one promise, despite all others, that he could keep. He was sure- no, he was absolutely sure, he could keep it, and she was, too.
He was glad he got lucky.
A/N: How awesome are they? Reminds me of Nagisa and Tomoya off of the anime 'CLANNAD'. Actually, 'Munto' reminds me of a lot of animes. But we won't get into that. And the moral of this story is: 'Loli's always save lives.' Joking. It's actually: 'Live on, until you can live no more. There is always another path.'
