"You have to summer and winter with someone before you can truly know them."
I heard that saying and immediately thought the author was a hypocrite. I've lived with Nick for years, and that kid makes as much sense to me as a hurricane in February in Canada. As in, not a whole damn lot of sense. Here's the breakdown of why Nick is so illogical (in no particular order, just whatever I think them in):
1. He's fluent in five languages, and at least three dialects of different languages, yet he spent a good year and a half tongue-tied around Lucy. I mean Nick would try and tell Lucy something that might make her laugh (which is just about anything), and he wouldn't be able to get three words into it without changing the subject to something that he could actually talk about.
2. Nick could easily be a bigger player than Quinn if he weren't so shy. I don't think any of my other brothers (or me) has ever felt as humiliated as we did at a concert two years ago. Long story very short: TWENTY different girls singled Nick out as the "hottest, sweetest, most dateable, charming, obsession-worthy, generous, sexy" out of all seven of us. Nick never looked away from the stage during this time. He was fifteen and caused a riot when he stopped on his way out to ask one of the girls a question about where she had gotten some merch. The police chalked the incident up to "teenage girls getting over-excited while left unattended around celebrities." If those girls knew Nick would wind up a princeā¦Let's not go there. That is a truly frightening thought.
3. Nick will deny it if anyone asks, but he's been racing on the Am BMX circuit for about three years, and doing really well. I don't understand why he isn't bragging about it. I mean, seriously some of the BMX riders have VERY hot female friends. I get that he's dating Lucy now and that he really shouldn't be screwing around with other girls. Still, he had a couple years where he was single and could have taken advantage of his status. When Marcus and I went to see what Nick was up to (what kind of brothers would we be if we didn't look out for him?) two years ago, it was nuts how many people were there to see HIM.
Needless to say, Nick had opportunities Quinn, or I, or both of us would have seized in an instant. The only thing that I "get" from/about Nick are headaches. Where's a Victoria's Secret Angel with some Advil when you need one?
OK, I might be a wee bit obseesed with Sebastian. I mean I love all the guys, especially Nick, but I relate better to Seb. SitS will be updated before the end of the week. I promise (for whatever that's worth to you.)
