Okay PPLS! This is my first fanfic, so most people say don't be too hard, but I want to improve my writing as much as possible, so criticize me all you want. Constructive criticism only!

The song that is featured in this chapter is called Love to the #rd Power by Shattered. Shattered is a music group that my friends and I own. We wrote this song, and any ideas for future songs are appreciated! NOW, TO THE STORY!!!

Also, the setting is nowhere in the manga Naruto, I'm just using their names, so be prepared for something way different than Konahona!

Hinata strung her bow and notched an arrow from her quiver. To the side, her older cousin, Neji watched.

"Tilt the bow to a 45 degree angle, take aim and release the string."

"Just because you suck at archery and hire the prince's squire to face off with me at an archery contest and still lose doesn't mean you have to coach me. Hiashi said that I'm supposed to be coaching you. So, shut up." Hinata said and shot the bow.

It hit dead center.

"So, Neji, Let's see you try."

Neji's eyes trembled, and he picked up a short bow and attempted to string it.

"Neji," Hinata sighed. "You are stringing it the wrong way. Here, let me help."

Hinata walked over to where Neji was failing miserably at stringing his bow.

"Look. You take this little loop and string it through the small notch at the end of the bow." Hinata said and showed him.

Neji rolled his eyes and pretended to listen. His eyes darted around the clearing, and then rested them by looking at Hinata's hair.

Dang… she has such pretty hair. I wish I could just… WOAH! Neji, calm down! She's your cousin for crying out loud.

"Neji! Are you even listening?" Hinata asked, irritated that he was staring at her with a weird expression on his face.

"Huh? Oh, yeah! I'll show you! Total icing on the gravy!" Neji said.

"Right… so, let's see you string the bow." Hinata said smugly, handing him the bow and string.

Neji took them, and hooked the loop around the notch at the end of the bow. He took the other end and bent the bow slowly, so he didn't break it. He looped the other string around the identical notch and released his tight hold on the bow.

The string snapped.

"…….. Neji…" Hinata sighed and handed him another string.

This time, he did it almost correctly, but the string snapped again, and Hinata laughed.

"What's so funny?! " Neji yelled his face getting redder by the minute.

"Ha… That was a….he he… fake… bow string!!!" Hinata said, trying to contain her laughter.

"RARGH! YOU LITTLE!!!" Neji yelled, dropping the bow and tackling Hinata, taking his thumbs and jabbing them between her ribs.

"AH! Neji! Stop it! "Hinata said.

Neji stopped realizing how close he was to her face…

"Uhm… ehehe…. "Neji said turning redder than Lee's headband.

"Yeah, Ten Ten said she was going to go with me to help out in the pie shop today, I'll see you later, Neji" Hinata said briskly, shoving him off her and turning away and running.

"No… Hinata... I didn't mean to… sorry." The last word came out as a croak.

"Wow. That was sickish." A voice said from behind Neji.

Neji turned around.
