This song always makes me want to hug my mom a lot, unfortunately she's at work right now and I can't XD, anyway, this seemed like a cool thing to do to give some reason to why Cam's mother left her. Anyways, I hope you like it.

Disclaimer: I do not own TMNT or "A mother's prayer."

Marisol Keeling choked as she heard the frantic screams of her only daughter chasing after her in the taxi, as it sped away like a frightened animal.

That's precisely what I am….a frightened animal. Marisol thought to herself bitterly. The cab driver glanced back at her questioningly. He had seen similar things in this city, he had money, he wasn't being paid to point out good parenting to the woman.

Marisol stifled a heartbroken sob as she looked back at her daughter's defeated form on the ground, crying for her to come back, "I'm sorry….I'm so, so sorry Cameron…forgive me…"

Her lonesome trip continued for hours, despite all the people around her Marisol could only feel a deep wave of guilt and loneliness wash over her as her little girl's face popped up in her head over and over again. She had never wanted to leave her, but the neighborhood…the men…the violence the drugs and beer she had gotten involved with…she couldn't drag Cam into that, she didn't want her to see her mother so desperate again.

The young woman looked tearfully out the window of the waiting room at the airport. It was late into the night, everyone had already gone on their flights. She was the last one in there. She looked up a the sky,

And she prayed, singing softly.

"I pray you'll be my eyes

And watch her where she goes

And help her to be wise

Help me to let go

Every mother's prayer

Every child knows

Lead her to a place

Guide her with your grace

To a place where she'll be safe….

Marisol closed her eyes in pure emotional pain, hoping with all her heart that Cam had been found by the foster care organization she had called earlier, reporting a child alone in central park.

Cam awoke with a start in her friends bed. Her eyes burning from the tears shed that day. Tawni lay next to her, hugging her in a comforting embrace. Cam wondered deliriously why she was there, when the painful reality set back in. The tears of betrayal and hurt the little girl leaked dripped onto her friends face, causing Cam to move to the window and stare up at the heavens above.

The moon over her, washing her small quivering form over in a warm silver glow. It felt familiar, like her mothers embrace before….all this happened.

The little girl sighed sadly, resting her head on her hands and drifting back to sleep under the protective watch of the moon.

I pray she finds your light

And holds it in her heart

As darkness falls each night

Remind her where you are

Marisol looked up at the moon as well, the same moon that was now watching over her child, wherever she was…

"Every mother's prayer

Every child knows

Need to find a place

Guide her with your grace

Give her faith so she'll be safe"

"Flight 31 is now boarding, again flight 31 is now boarding…" A speaker rang throughout the airport, interrupting Marisol's lament.

The broken woman stood up, gathering her things and wrapping her jacket around her before she entered the cold plane. One last time she looked up at the moon

"Lead her to a place…..

Guide her with your grace……

To a place where she'll be safe……." She finished as eh walked away form the window. Leaving behind her home, her memories and her only beloved child.

T-T that's the end, would appreciate it if you reviewed.
