This idea has come to mind for quite a while, and it's summer holiday now, who am I to say no?
I have loads of other fanfictions to update, so I might update this monthly. (Okay, just kidding)
I love to turn the bad guy into a good one, so let's see how will this work out.
Warning: the pairing is Peter Pettigrew/ Harry Potter, don't like, don't read. Rated M, in case I want to write some lemons. Who knows.
Prologue
The sun had set for a while. It was a starry night with little clouds in the sky, and the moon shed a delicate light on the ground in front of the man in black. The clock on the castle stroke 3 as the man rose to his feet.
He wasn't that tall, you know, just middle height. He was wearing something like a cloak, which reached down to his boots. He got long, wavy hair, cascading down on his shoulders. His pale skin and his shivering form made him like someone on drug.
The man wasn't crying, or so if you asked him, but you would surely see his watery eyes and some tears rushing down his face. He didn't sob, it was more like a calm, quiet gesture, just some tears went out of his eyes. You almost could assume that he had some eye disease if you didn't look carefully enough—that under the moonlight, you could find an mourning face.
However, the headmaster needed to know what had happened that night, before dawn. He knew that he had been seen by his best friend—Padfoot, and he had saw the man on fire. There was no use to fight with him, as he had lost one of his best friend. He hoped that the headmaster could convince Sirius of his innocence, before he rushed into anything, that is.
'Professor?'
Dumbledore was already waiting for him in his office.
'Hallo, my boy, anything to drink?' He offered him the seat near the window.
'No, thank you sir. I, well I, need to tell you that…' He was hesitating how to put that into words.
'Just go on, and say it, my dear boy!' Dumbledore encouraged him. 'I knew I had said no meeting after their death, but you must have something important for me to know.' He put his hands in front of him, on the table. His blue eyes twinkling behind the half moon glasses.
'Okay, I, I just…Fuck!' He stamped and was in a kind of distress.
'I saw Sirius at that moment, when I was, I was at service. He recognized me, but he was too confused to point me out. I thought that, after the accident, he might come after me, to, to take avenge for, for James, James and Lily. Would you mind if he knew my true identity?' His eyes was full of hope that any man, any living thing would not resist the magic in them.
'I know, I know. My boy, I'm terribly sorry for that. It's not time to let him know it. Actually, I had been suspecting the spell that Lily used would not kill him. Voldemort was into dark magic for years that I have to say, he probably had already found a way to escape death. A dark, evil way, indeed, but helpful, I think. Due to these circumstances, I must admit that Sirius know the less about this, the better. It's not that I don't trust him, but once Voldemort get to know this someday, it would be too dangerous for both of you. We all have something we have to sacrifice for the greater good, me as well.'
'If you would love to, my boy, I would be very glad to have you as a professor here.'
'No, headmaster, I don't think teaching is my thing.'
XXXXX
It had been 11 years, for God's sake, since the day that he started his life at the burrow with the Weasleys. They were friendly, kind, warm-hearted. Somehow, he also had to thank for their poverty, which made him able to be a pet for all these years.
Someone would say that living as a pet was unbearable, though he found this life style suit him quite well. He didn't need to think a lot, he only needed to eat the food the family had to offer, sleep when he had to, and made out some sound when he was touched. It was a shell to shelter him from his friends tragedy, and he had never been more grateful to be a animagi.
Now, their little son, Ron was ready to go to Hogwarts, and maybe, maybe, he had a chance to see Harry.
Harry Potter, the boy that he owed a lot to and was ignorant of all of his crime.
Author's Note:
Hope you have enjoyed the story so far! Any ideas for what could happen on their first day at Hogwarts? Well, throw me some, Haha. Please review or PM.
Also, for anyone that's interested, I'm looking for a beta for this story. If my fanfiction is bearable for you, please lend a hand.
Until next time.
