"Are you going to tell me what you do every third week of the month?"

"Nope"

"are you-"

"Are you going to keep asking me about it?"

"I just want to know one thing," Jack sighed and clasped his hands together on top of the pile of papers on his desk. He really didn't want anyone to know he had a daughter and a grandson that he tried so desperately to see on a somewhat regular basis. He relaxed slightly when Ianto added, "then no, I won't keep asking about it" Jack looked at him expectantly, urging him silently to spit it out.

"Are you being forced to do it?"

There was a pause so Ianto continued, "Are you doing it out of love?"

Jack seemed to melt and feel embarrassed at the same time. Ianto knew him well. Jack would only keep something a secret if he was forced into doing it or if his heart was guiding him. Ianto also knew the terrible burden keeping a secret out of love could be.

"Yes" came the uncomfortable admission.

Ianto gave a small smile and leaned forward slightly. "then," he stated simply "I understand". He turned and began to walk away. Jack called out to him,

"You won't ask any more questions?"

"About what sir?" came the exceedingly quick reply.

Jack smiled. His smile quickly became a huge grin and he thought of all the ways that one Jones, Ianto Jones, made his life a lot more bearable. He realized the reports in front of him didn't make any sense any more and he decided to pick up the fresh mug of coffee Ianto left for him. Tasting it he nearly laughed aloud in joy, for as every time the hot liquid slide over his tongue he was reminded of the first time he tasted Ianto's brew and had exclaimed "wow". 'Wow' indeed, he thought to himself. Wow indeed.
